OrbiTEX 150 machines are computer controlled to precisely oscillate a workpart in two to three
dimensional planes within a slow flowing stream of AFM media. Opposed to the flowing media and workpart is a stationary displacer tool (mirrored image of the workpart). As the elastic abrasive media flows between the two surfaces it acts as a continuous, self-shaping, full-form polishing tool. The small amplitude oscillations (typically 0.5 to 5 mm) in conjunction with our ultra-fine abrasive particle media, deliver a highly uniform micro-finish on almost any complex geometry and workpart material.
